Every piece is carefully inspected by our team of upholsterers. All internal parts including joints and springs will be thoroughly checked by our team to ensure the finished product will perform as it did when first purchased.
If you have a quality chair or suite, that’s scaled well to your space, it makes sense to at least price up having the furniture taken back to the frame and restored. In reupholstering, expect to pay more than the price of a new budget suite and less than top of the line furniture. Costs will vary according to the fabric chosen and any extra detailing such as the addition of new legs, skirts etc.
It is vital to determine if the furniture is worth saving. Many cheap suites made in the last number of years are not worth the investment because of a poorly made frame. Here your upholsterer can advise you.
Due to the vast majority of furniture being sold by high street shops being of inferior quality i.e. frames that are made of chipboard or other types of poor quality timber, poor quality fabric and fillings that don’t meet Irish flame retardancy standards, we are unable to work on these products. We have respect for our trade and our skills and believe in the principle of sustainable furniture i.e. Eco friendly, better for the planet and environmentally safe.
We believe there are huge advantages to investing in well made quality furniture when it comes to sustainability and repairability. As a result of the above we will only reupholster our own pieces of furniture that we have manufactured first day.
